I guess I have been slacking on the picture taking business lately, I don't have any new ones to post but I wanted to write down some things that I want to remember when I'm old and gray and starting to lose my mind.
I have to say I absolutely love being a mom. I cannot believe how two little kids can make every day an adventure. Not one day goes by that one of them doesn't bring me to tears with laughter. Ellie is the sassiest little girl I've ever known, but she is hilarious. She just got a new sandbox and loves to run outside naked first thing in the morning to play in the sand. She is finally getting the hang of potty training (although we have been trying for ages!) and she loves to wear her princess panties, Snow White is her favorite and sometimes if I bring her the Cinderella ones she will kick them out of my hands and refuse to wear panties until I bring her the Snow White ones. She observes me with Ammon all the time. One day while I was nursing in Ammon in the rocking chair she got one of her babies, sat in her rocking chair right next to me, and started nursing her baby. She loves to call the grandparents on the phone and she will sit and talk to them forever. "Ganpa Gary" always has to take her the car when we leave their house and put her in her carseat, she won't let anyone else do it. She has become best friends with the neighbor boy next door. His name is Carson and they will play together all day if we let them. She loves to "boing" on his trampoline and usually at least once a day she will sneak over there to jump. We went to the zoo last week with Megan and Stacia and Ellie loved it. I can't believe how much she loves animals, she is learning Portuguese so all the animals have two names to Ellie. This is really going to come back to bite me when she's a teenager and she starts mouthing off to me in Portuguese and I can't understand what she is saying!! She is starting to be quite the entertainer and she will do whatever it takes to make people laugh at her. This is especially interesting in sacrament meeting and sometimes I just have to duck my head and pretend people aren't glaring at the back of my head! I absolutely love the little moments when she comes up to me and says "I love you so much" it's almost in a little crying voice and it's the sweetest thing in the world. I love this baby girl!!
Our little Ammon is now four months. I started giving him rice but it made him get a really bad rash on his cheeks where the rice touched so the doctor said to just go ahead and give him baby food now. He is loving it and doing very well eating from a spoon. He had his 4 month check-up Friday and he is 16 lb 7 oz. He's always been our little bruiser and we often hear people say "there's your middle line-backer". I cannot believe what a mild manner baby he is. He is incredible. I love watching him wake up from a nap. As soon as his eyes adjust and he sees me looking at him his whole face lights up with the biggest grin you can imagine. He is like that all the time. When we go to a store I will put him in the Baby Bjorn so he can look around. We will walk down the aisles and people will just pass us smiling and laughing because he is grinning at everyone. Any stranger that comes up and talks to him always gets him laughing and he has the cutest laugh in the world. He loves to watch his big sister and he'll focus on her forever. He has been sleeping throught he night since he was 2 months old and I am loving that part! His second tooth recently popped through and he has been a drooly mess lately! How lucky can one mom get?!
I also have to give a big thanks to Brandon. He is amazing. He works 10 hour days and then comes home and works on the house until he goes to bed. Not to mention he's finishing up his bachelors degree and working on getting into med school. He works so hard to make our family happy. He has made our yard, fence, driveway, garage, and so much more look amazing! He is such a good daddy and the kids adore him.
I just thank my Heavenly Father every day for this family I have been blessed with. I love being a mom and a wife.

I love the post! Your kids are so adorable and it has been way to long since I have seen or talked to you. Well it sounds like you guys are doing amazing. I also think it is super awesome that Ellie is speaking both languages. That is going to be so cool for her when she is older.
