Her first bloody nose


Well we had a very scary day yesterday. We have been building a deck at our house this week and we finally got all the framing up and finished so we put 4 big pieces of wood up over all the deck boards so that we could walk across it until we get the Trex on top of it. Well Ellie and I were just walking to the edge of the deck so we could get down and see our nieghbor and we stepped on one of the pieces and it slipped off the board and we fell right through the deck. Ellie hit her nose right on the support beam and she was just bleeding like crazy. Her nose got swollen right away so we rushed her over to the hospital so that they could look at it. I hadn't noticed until I got up to get Ellie in the house that I had hit my leg too and it looked like I had a bone sticking out or something, it was this huge lump on my leg and I could hardly walk. Well we went to the hospital and the doctor said that Ellie only has cartilidge in her nose right now so even if she had broken it there wouldn't be anything that they could do but let it heal. And my leg isn't broken, just badly bruised. But we are doing much better today, Ells swelling has gone way down and she doesn't even have any bruising so we are pretty lucky that it wasn't more serious!



And, as a side note, the reason we were going over to see our neighbors is because they have a two year old little boy and the day before yesterday he was at gymnastics and broke his femur bone. So he is in a body cast from his chest down. They poor little guy. He woke up yesterday and he's like, "Mommy, I'm stuck." She said ya Carson, your going to be stuck for a while your leg is broken and he gets all sad and he's like, "Oh, I'm broken" He is such a sweet kid. I can't even imagine trying to keep a two year old in a body cast for 5 weeks in the middle of the summer!
